Shepherds Hill is a thoughtfully designed cabin perched 1,000 feet up in the Welsh hills, offering spectacular views from every corner.

The king-size bed, lounge chairs, and even the outdoor wicker seating on the deck are all oriented to showcase the stunning countryside. Modern comforts include an induction hob, en suite shower room, and tasteful décor featuring copper and slate accents. Outside, you'll find a hot tub and a firebowl, perfect for cooking simple meals or enjoying the night sky.

The surrounding area is ideal for adventurers. Visit the Elan Valley and local towns such as Hay-On-Wye or Ludlow for shops and cafés, explore the Offa’s Dyke Centre for a bit of history, or take the cycle path straight to the Elan Valley, a beautiful spot for hiking and biking. Your hosts, Anita and Glyn, live just a few hundred metres behind the lodge with their three dogs.

Glyn and Anita are your hosts who live on Penlan farm. They have extensive local knowledge and can guide you to see kites feeding, find the best local walks or see the gorgeous scenery of Mid-Wales. Enjoy local produce, or visit the Harp Inn, one of Wales’ oldest pubs. End your day relaxing in the hot tub and take in the incredible views from Shepherd’s Hill.

We spent a day walking in Elan Valley and visited water-break-it's-neck waterfall, both definitely worth a visit.
